In 2009, Southern States Chemical broke ground in Wilmington, NC on our Wilbara site. The name “Wilbara” is a combination of both “Wilmington” and “Baraboo.” Since the facility was born from a United States Army plant, previously located in Baraboo, Wisconsin, the name is fitting. There was a vision for this plant from the beginning: Wilbara would become the crown jewel of Southern States Chemical. Integrating state-of-the-art technology was a cornerstone for this project, along with heightened environmental stewardship, and increased production and capacity. Today, the vision is a reality and it is not only a testament to the professionalism of the staff; it also exemplifies our commitment to provide unsurpassed value to our customers.
